Equipping students for ministry

We aim to teach the importance of incorporating the principles of the Word of God into life, which will be manifest in spiritual growth and submission to the Lord.

The Goal

To focus on the study of the Word of God, emphasizing the Greek, Hebrew, and Latin languages.

The Aim

To teach the importance of incorporating the principles of the Word of God into life, which will be manifest in spiritual growth and submission to the Lord.

The Teaching

That Jesus Christ is sufficient for every spiritual need of man and that the Word of God is sufficient and relevant as the guide for Christian living and spiritual education. Therefore, the Bible will be the primary textbook of DLBI.

The Training

To specifically train and equip students for ministry.

Biblical Research Skills

Designed to give the servant of the Lord and His Word the tools that are indispensable to sound Bible study skills. The main foundational courses are Hermeneutics, Biblical Geography, and Dispensationalism. Building upon these courses are History of the English Bible, Bible Survey classes of every book of the Bible, and advanced Hermeneutic classes. Combined, these courses make an excellent toolbox for one who seeks to know God’s Word better to serve God’s people better.

Biblical Language Studies

Designed to equip the servant of the Lord and His Word with a working knowledge of the Greek, Hebrew, and Latin languages. The Hebrew language is essential to digging deep into the Old Testament. The Greek language is the same for the New Testament, as well as the Septuagint (Greek translation of the Old Testament). The Latin Vulgate is rarely studied in the average Bible college or seminary. Most studies of Latin pertain to Latin classics such as Cicero, Virgil, or Julius Caesar. Our study is to bring the Latin Vulgate forward as a useful tool in the transitional translation from Greek or Hebrew to English. Each language has foundational as well as advanced levels of study in this program.

Theological Studies

Designed to equip the servant of the Lord and His Word the understanding of the major theological aspects of the Christian faith. Often in Bible colleges, a summary of theology is met in courses that combine 2 or 3 of the disciplines in one semester, thereby covering the whole series in a set of 3 or 4 semesters. Our goal in this program is to begin with the study skill set that leads to the study of theology (Courses: Hermeneutics, Dispensationalism, Advanced Hermeneutics 1 & 2) and then to invest an entire semester in the study of each discipline. Courses include a Survey of Theology, Bibliology, Theology Proper, Christology, Soteriology, Pneumatology, Anthropology, Harmartiology, Ecclesiology, Israelology, Angelology, and Eschatology.
